About Kingsley Akem

With over a decade of experience in oil and gas technology, I am a goal-driven and impactful contributor who is passionate about cloud computing and innovation. I currently hold a master's degree in cloud computing systems at the University of Maryland Global Campus while working as a directional engineer at Baker Hughes, a leading provider of energy solutions. In my current role, I perform directional drilling operations at the well site, advise clients on drilling requirements and options, and ensure safety standards and procedures are met and followed. I have reduced turnaround time for drilling operations by three days, increased customer satisfaction by reducing NPT (Non-Productive Time) by 15%, and developed strong bonds with clients resulting in long-lasting relationships and recognition. I have also acquired multiple certifications and skills in cloud application development, infrastructure as code (IaC), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Administration. I have a solid intellectual capacity, an enthusiasm for technology, and a collaborative and supportive attitude. I enjoy working as required or together as a team to drive results and growth for the company and customers.
