About Kira B.

I'm passionate about working alongside communities and Indigenous Tribes to help strengthen their resilience to the impacts of climate change addressing flood risk management, coastal resilience, ecosystem restoration, and access to clean water. My background includes 15 years in both the international and domestic sectors with Tribal Nations, local, regional, and federal government agencies, nonprofits, educational institutions, and the private sector. I work to collaboratively develop strategies that address vulnerabilities in each local context - including applying environmental justice practices and incorporating substantial stakeholder and community engagement into the planning process. I believe that providing communities with critical tools, guidance, and resources allows for empowered environmental decision-making at every level.Expertise includes technical design/project lead of environmental studies and projects, qualitative and quantitative research, policy analysis, business development/proposal development, grants management, Tribal relations, community engagement and stakeholder coordination.
