About Kira Ronaghan

I decided to pursue a career in accounting while still in high school. I had worked in a construction office for a few summers by then and helped with everything from filing payments to invoicing projects to completing bank reconciliations. I decided that accounting was the field for me when I was finally able to reconcile one of the company's most complex bank accounts. Knowing the company well enough to reconcile its accounts satisfied my passion for business and organization. While at university, I have gained an interest in tax accounting and intend to work in my school's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance clinic throughout the spring semester. I look forward to giving back to my community by aiding taxpayers in the DC metro area. I also hope to learn how to file returns on my own. In the future, I intend to pursue my CPA license and work within the tax sector of accounting. My top five CliftonStrengths are competition, relator, achiever, intellection, and discipline.
