About Kiran Kumar Vanam

I'm an entrepreneur at heart & believer in the power of dreams. Life has come full circle now - started a venture after being a Software Developer for 4 years, toiled years building a sustainable venture with $2.4M in revenues - and now back being an engineer but with a more matured mindset & business acumen. Both, building business and products are close to my heart. I believe they are a great combination to build products/services that can make a positive impact in this world. I am currently pursuing Master of Science in Information Systems at the University of Washington (Seattle) where I am learning critical skills in data analysis, data-driven decision-making, & product management. In 2016, I founded Columbus Vacations and led its growth over 4 years to become one of India’s finest travel companies. We are now one of the highest-rated travel companies in India. At Columbus, I was responsible for sales, operations, business development, all customer-facing functions, enterprise strategy, and digitization. My personal passion is to impart quality education to the underrepresented communities and I am taking baby steps in this direction. As a part of it, I have mentored students from these communities to crack competitive exams of Indian government jobs.
