About Kirk Rice

I am currently the Assistant Clubhouse Manager / Director of Food & Beverage at The Grove in College Grove, Tennessee. As a career Hospitality Professional, I have spent time in many areas including Customer Service, Food & Beverage Management, Marketing, Social Media, and Golf Course Management. Hospitality and Golf are my true passions and drive me to grow my knowledge in those areas. My education, experience, and skills in Customer Service and Hospitality will help guide me through my professional journey. My background includes serving as the Assistant Clubhouse Manager at The Olympic Club In San Francisco, California. I have also served as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at Sand Valley Golf Resort. A high end luxury golf resort featuring 36 holes of championship golf and a 17 hole par 3 course. The resort also featured high end dining options such as the Aldo’s Farm & Table and the Mammoth Bar and the ever popular Sand Bic Food Truck! I have also held previous positions such as Assistant General Manager of an 88 room Sleep Inn & Suites. During my time there I also was very instrumental in the construction and open of a 68 room MainStay Suites in Madison, Wisconsin. Prior to working in the Hotel Industry I spent 12 years in the golf industry. I served as the Director of Golf at The Oaks Golf Course, a public golf course, where my duty was to create a warm environment and run a successful golf operation at one of Madison’s Premier Public Golf Course. While directing the golf staff we were able to contract and execute over total rounds annually. of those rounds for Corporate and Charity golf events raising funds to help those in need. In addition to this experience, I have gained considerable customer service experience as a member of the National CMAA as well as the Golden State Chapter. My volunteer experience consists of my part-time volunteer work as a Co-Chair for the American Cancer Society – Coaches VS Cancer Associate Board of Ambassadors for 10+ years while in Madison, Wisconsin. I also bring to the table strong computer proficiencies in Agilisys InfoGenesis POS, NorthStar POS Microsoft Applications, Adobe Products, IOS applications, Hot Schedules Software and EventPro360 Event Management Software.
