About Kirk Wood

Started out in 2002 With Technip (Technip Coflexip) as a trainee Rigger being made upto Rigger in 2003. Worked mainly on D.S.V's as well as R.O.V, Plough and Pipe Laying vessels. This line of work kept me in the North Sea with 2 jobs down in Egypt. I left Technip in 2006 and moved to Global Industries where i was recruited as a Assistant Lead Rigger out in India onboard the DLB-264. I came back to the North Sea in 2008 With Woodgroup undertaking Platform Shutdown work, i also worked for Petro-fac and P.S.N during this time until returning to Technip in 2009 to join there newest D.S.V. vessel the Scandi Arctic on the Goa Project. In 2011 i am proud to say that i have completed my parts 3, 4, and 1 in H.S.E recognised Commercial Diving at the Professional Diving Academy based in the U.K. In April 2013 I completed my part 2 mixed gas closed bell course and Diver Medics Training in Marseille and moved into Saturation diving over in Indonesia with Kreuz Subsea, spent 1 season in India before moving back to Technip as a Saturation Diver on board the Skandi Achiever where i became a core crew member, as well as working on DSV Skandi Arctic and Orelia. In this period i also worked for Kreuz in their Indian season. As of August 2016 i have become a CSWIP 3:2U Inspection diver and enjoyed being on the Talisman/ Repsol campaign in the North Sea on board the DSV Orelia completing there IRM works. As of 2019 I am working for Subsea7 on board the vessel Seven Pegasus. This has taken me back to the North Sea as well as stateside working over in the Gulf Of Mexico. Specialties: Being me. Teamwork, ability to be friendly and work at the same time, respect for safety and the safety of others aswell as myself, overall enjoying my job and being grateful for the position im in.
