About Kirt Richards

Throughout my career in IT I have had many experiences working on projects starting at Whirlpool and Kellogg's. Then at Pharmacia and BiogenIdec getting a good working knowledge of PCs and lab instruments and how they worked in business. Some of those earlier experiences also helped with some of the non-IT related situations such as trying to help different people in sometimes stressful situations. Having to deal with different kinds of people with different types of needs and helping them so they can do their job effectively. This has led me into the desktop support type of jobs where you have to wear many hats and have a balance of good and quick trouble shooting skills along with a personality that can mold into a lot of different situations and accomplish the task. I have had many experiences with a wide range of people from a regular users, Scientists and Doctors to the chairman of the board and CEO. A good working knowledge of IT and forward looking big picture type of thinking has helped me succeed in a tough IT job market.
