Kirwins is a trusted and bilingual public service leader, skilled in government, stakeholder engagement, public policy, stakeholder relations, strategic thinking. He excels in multitasking, prioritizing, and working under pressure to achieve results while building strong partnerships between stakeholders with competing interests. With over 10 years of progressively challenging roles in the public sector, he currently serves as the Director of Media Relations and Issues Management, within Strategic Communications and Marketing Sector at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED). All is done in the highest professional quality, through strategic, timely and effective support to ISED’s five Ministers, Deputy Ministers, and senior management in support of their activities to further advance the Department`s plans and priorities to better serve Canadians. Kirwins is known for his empathetic leadership style, empowering employees to reach their full potential. In his personal life, Kirwins finds mental and physical well-being through regular workouts. He is a proud father of four children ( 3 girls and 1 boy).
