About Kit Altin

Some people are drawn to consistency. I’m drawn to transformation. Over the years I’ve helped build and evolve brands across categories and continents—from Tide and Audi to McDonald’s and the BBC. Some of the work has gone on to win top honours at places like the APGs; Effies; Cannes and D & AD. But more importantly, it’s made things happen. My route here wasn’t conventional: I’ve been a DJ, a theatre promoter, a set designer and a journalist. It’s an odd CV, but a perfect training ground for change-making. Some highlights? Helping Cosmopolitan land what Newsweek called “the most shocking cover of the decade”. Forcing a UK Prime Minister into a U-turn that changed the law. Creating strategy for everyone from Iron Maiden to the Spice Girls (not on the same brief, sadly). Reinventing a century-old icon - The AA - with bank robbers and vampires. And helping young people feel less alone through our Nobody Is Normal campaign I’m also a devoted educator and mentor, designing and delivering training for brands and organisations all over the world, and I have a permanent residency at SXSW in Austin. I believe the best teaching isn’t about passing down knowledge—it’s about drawing out what people didn’t realise they had inside. That’s where the magic is.
