As a Hayball Principal, lead designer and co-owner, Kit has been instrumental in the success of complex projects across diverse sectors. Specialising in design and community creation, she focuses on enhancing social value, biodiversity and resilience in project outcomes. Kit’s expertise extends to all scales, including smart cities and sustainable urban development. She actively promotes excellence and best practice through the- Smart and Sustainable Cities Committee, Urban Development Institute of Australia - Greater Western Sydney Committee, Urban Development Institute of Australia - Hayball inhouse Biodiversity Lead - Hayball Strategic Design Committee, reporting directly to the Board In her mission to design resilient communities, Kit advises institutional and government clients across Australia in developing strategic policies that prioritise Country, ecology and community needs. Her insights not only shape better design outcomes but also empower the voices of those often unheard. Her commitment to social sustainability transcends built outcomes. She is also a fervent advocate for gender and cultural diversity at the leadership level within the architecture industry. As Hayball's Champions of Change Coalition Practice Lead, she spearheaded the discussion paper on the nuances of Power and Privilege in the workplace, fostering a more inclusive industry. Kit is actively involved with professional organisations such as the Property Council of Australia, the Urban Development Institute of Australia, and Learning Environments Australasia, continually striving to elevate the standards of her field.
