About Kiterra Scott

I am a senior studying for a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in neuroscience. My academic goal is to attend a graduate school for psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology/behavioral neuroscience. Overall, I plan to become a first-generation, female clinical neuropsychologist that specializes in neurological disorders and treatment in children and older adolescents. During my academic journey, I have engaged in directed undergraduate research regarding cyberbullying and its relation to aspects of an individual's identity, such as ethnicity and sexual orientation. This experience has strengthened necessary analytic research skills by searching for empirical articles for literature reviews, cleaning data through SPSS for data analysis, and putting together an abstract. At the moment, I am in the process of putting together my St. Mary's Project(senior thesis) focusing on the effects of antidepressants on memory among College students/young adults. Currently, in my fall semester, I am curating my literature review on the topic and carrying out the necessary procedures to proceed with my study in the spring, which involves intensive research, scientific writing, and IRB approval.
