About Kiumars Askari

Avid problem solver with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a soft spot for artificial intelligence. In my current position, I am using simulation generated data, to train models to be used on real data and estimate important flight variables such as weight, thrust and flap setting for sustainability purposes.Professional work aside, I've worked on many projects in my personal time, from simple classification, to "Neural Style Transfer" with CNNs, to text or music generation with RNNs.I've implemented numerous reinforcement learning techniques in python's gym library and am interested in using these techniques on real word problems. In my engineering background I'm experienced in the field of guidance and control and I've implemented various control schemes on different aerial and space vehicles. Orbit control and interplanetary trajectory design also falls in my field of expertise.
