About Kobe Achu

Kobe Achu is a cadet at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) and the Assistant Director of the Cadet Chorale, the academy's premier choral ensemble. A native of Suwanee, GA, he possesses over a decade of choral experience, imbuing his work with a unique perspective and deep understanding of the art form. Before his appointment to the United States Air Force Academy in 2022, he was a Student Choral Director and Choral Assistant, respectively, with Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) for two years. As a testament to his vocal talent, he earned distinction by participating in the prestigious GMEA All-State Chorus Festival for five consecutive years. Previous engagements include the 2020 GCPS American Education Breakfast Select Vocal Ensemble & Orchestra, the 2024 D20 Westside Honor Choir, & the 2024 Academy District 20 Honor Choir Festival. He has been invited to be a clinician for the 2025 Fountian-Fort Carson District Honor Choir. Kobe is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Military Strategic Studies, set to graduate in May 2026. He is researching Resilience Against Disinformation (RAD) and nuclear deterrence. Beyond his musical accomplishments, he aspires to become a leader of character, grounded in integrity, service, and excellence. His commitment to spreading positivity and unconditional support extends beyond the Academy walls, influencing every endeavor he undertakes. In his free time, Kobe enjoys diverse pursuits, finding solace in watching movies, exploring the world through hiking, and expressing his musical talent as the keyboardist for a rock-contemporary group, Mitch's Choice Band. His journey is an inspiration to aspiring musicians and future military officers alike, showcasing the power of dedication, talent, and a service-oriented spirit.
