About Kobe Edmond

Since I was young, I was always told that anyone can be in charge, but it takes someone special to be able to lead. Throughout my life I have been given many chances to step up and be in charge. Throughout those times I have seen myself rise to the occasion, and also falter. But no matter what happens, I always take the knowledge I learned into my next attempt as the only true failure, is not learning from your past. Growing up in a single parent household with a younger sibling meant that even at a young age I had to step up to help manage the house. From handling cooking and cleaning to driving and managing doctors’ appointments, I was always looking for more responsibility. Even when I got my first job, I quickly worked to master every skill I could to get more and more responsibility to give to the workplace. I have kept this attitude with me over the years and have always looked for professional skill building in jobs that may not have a direct path to my future career. Post-graduation, I hope to work in the software development field with a focus in software development. With a major in computer science, I believe that I can bring a lot to a team. While I look to work in the coding field, I’ve used all my jobs to get me ready for my work. I’ve developed communication and management skills early into working and have had many years to not only grow them, but to also better understand how I can continue to improve them. There is no such thing as a side job to me, all my work is important. In life, it is the job of the employee to offer the best performance possible to their employer. In my life, it is not a job, but a duty.
