Ensure the advanced support, planning and maintenance of network infrastructure (Wide Area Network and Local Area Network (WAN's and LAN's). • Implement and Monitor approved WAN Processes and Procedures. • Provide for the customization and upgrading of WAN network infrastructure. • Provide for WAN capacity and planning. • Provide carrier billing administration and management. • Reporting and communicating by making use of approved Network Management Systems like e- Health, and configuration management with LMS. • Network security access via TACACS. • Responsible for the support of 26 x P and PE regionally distributed nodal points connecting in total around 2800 remote sites (CE). 3rd line support for regional WAN technical staff. Cisco P and PE nodes consisting of Cisco 7600's, 6500's. Nexus and multipal NEXUS 2K's. CE devices include but not limited to Cisco 4500, 3900, 3800, 3700,3500, 2900, 2800, 2600, 1800, 1700 series routers and switches. Also have experience supporting and configuring 7200 routers and 6500 CatOS catalyst switches. • Support and configuration of OSPF and Static routing protocols, but do have knowledge of IS-IS, BGP, EIGRP etc. • Monitoring, fault reporting of fiber Metro Ethernet and Diginet infrastructure as well as Huges V-Sat infrastructure. • Reporting, adhering to signed SLA metrics, advisory services to client, design assistance, project involvement and assistance and special investigations/Proof of Concepts.
