About Kody Long

I am a psychology instructor with a passion for teaching at the college level. Undergraduate students work diligently to gain knowledge and skills necessary to become effective citizens and servants of the public - Such students deserve effective, humanized settings to learn and grow within. My experiences as a first-generation, low-income student, as well as my dedication to DEI-related efforts, inform my teaching and mentoring practices with students, as I strive for connection, grace, and humanity within my instruction and communication. I specialize in statistics and research methods within the social sciences, but enjoy teaching developmental psychology and motivational theory, and love to teach a wide variety of content. My previous experience in statistical consulting, curriculum design, and program management have served me well in these endeavors. I aspire to be a life-long learner and teacher of psychology and am passionate about working with students to help them achieve their goals in working within the field of psychology, no matter what that may look like for each individual student.
