About Kody Strunk

Ever since I was a little kid, I loved building, constructing, disassembling and reassembling things and learning how they work. I was the kid with all the legos and K-nex sets scattered across my room making things all the way into my teens. That’s when I saved up enough money to get my first car. It was a 1993 Mitsubishi I learned everything there was to know about that car. I pulled up every schematic and wiring diagram published, so I could fix and modify it the way I wanted. When I was done with it, every part had been replaced to make it faster or slicker looking. I thought I was the coolest 18 year old on the road. My yearning and ability to think up or rebuild and design things is what led me into the mechanical engineering field. I discovered that I just truly love to learn how the world works around me. This passion for knowledge, accompanied with my mechanical aptitude, drove my education. I started at my local 2 year college Southwestern Illinois, but quickly realized I wanted to learn more. I then pursued my Bachelors in Mechanical engineering at Southern Illinois University. My elected studies and previous employment experience has focused my efforts on Heating and Cooling. I have gravitated towards Heat transfer formulas and calculations as they just come naturally to me. The way pressure and heat correlate and work together fascinates me. There is still so much more for me to learn, and I am open to any path this universe may take me.
