About Koen Stamou

Hi there! And welcome to my profile! I am a Groningen-based project manager and developer at New Energy Coalition, focusing on R&D-projects and technology demonstrations in the energy sector. In my activities, I aim to translate the energy programmes that NEC develops into feasible, concrete and efficient projects with solid business cases, optimally utilizing external funding opportunities. Please find some examples below of projects that I am/have been part of (management/development). North Sea Hydrogen Valley Ports (Interreg, scope 1.5 mio) In this project, co-developed with NS HyMaPs, the consortium of 8 partners will develop 4 hydrogen master plans of the Ports of Bremen, Brest, Esbjerg and Den Helder, working closely with stakeholders and value chain actors. We aim to improve future maritime H2valley governance by sharing best practices, concept designs of assets, and engaging with both in- and external actors. In this project, NEC acts lead partner, and I am honored to be project lead. REFORMERS (HORIZON Europe, scope 20 mio) In REFORMERS, the consortium consisting of 23 partners will jointly demonstrate a 20 million, state-of-the-art (TRL 6-8) renewable energy valley at the Boekelermeer Business Park (Alkmaar). In REFORMERS, renewable energy in virtually all its forms (electrons vs different types of molecules) will be produced, utilized and stored, effectively mitigating severe grid congestion issues in the area. In this project, NEC has played a vital role in the development/funding application, and will act as coordinator of the flagship valley. Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) NEC is management authority in the Northern Netherlands of the Enterprise Europe Network. As part of EEN, I act as consultant and business developer, assisting EU-SME's in achieving their innovative goals in R&D or internationalization. Additionally, EEN plays vital role in organizing company missions, and bridge different networks by organizing matchmaking sessions at a wide plethora of events.
