About Komal Makkar

I’m a passionate and technically skilled IT professional with a solid background in IT support, infrastructure monitoring, and ticketing systems, and I’ve recently expanded my skill set by completing a Full Stack Web Development course — equipping me with the tools and mindset to build and maintain scalable web applications. In my current role as a Help Desk Engineer, I specialize in resolving user issues via calls, emails, and Microsoft Teams, working on the ICD ticketing tool at both L1 level. I handle issues related to internal tools, ensuring timely resolutions and SLA adherence. I also create daily support reports using Excel Pivot Tables to monitor performance and trends.Previously, I assisted in managing the Nagios monitoring tool, a key DevOps monitoring platform. My responsibilities included tracking device statuses (uptime, critical, warning), escalating issues to the right teams, and maintaining 100% SLA compliance. I used JIRA for ticket management and prepared detailed monthly reports using VLOOKUP, filters, and Excel formulas.
