Background

About Komal Nikam

I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering with a concentration in Computational Science and Engineering at Purdue University. With over four years of hands-on experience in supply chain optimization, data analytics, process automation, and technical project management, I have had the privilege of working across diverse industries at organizations like Intel, EssilorLuxottica, and Atlas Copco. At Intel, I focused on optimizing data analytics strategies for their discrete event simulation fab models and fab operations monitoring. I developed frameworks and software solutions that provided critical insights into fab performance and system efficiency, greatly enhancing operational visibility. At EssilorLuxottica, I worked with one of their brands, Oakley to develop demand forecasting models, optimize auto-replenishment strategies, and improve warehouse efficiency. I tackled complex, fast-paced retail supply chain challenges across multiple countries, driving impactful improvements. At Atlas Copco, I automated supply chain and manufacturing processes through software robotics. I led end-to-end automation projects, from business analysis, solution design, development, testing to deploying RPA solutions, significantly boosting speed and accuracy while saving multiple FTEs annually. This role gave me a deep understanding of large-scale supply chain operations and the tools to improve operational efficiency. What sets me apart is my commitment to first principles and my ability to think critically to solve complex problems. Let’s connect and explore how I can help your team make a meaningful impact!
