About Komal Patil

I didn’t start my career surrounded by perfect datasets and polished dashboards. I began in computer engineering—writing code, exploring software systems, and always trying to understand the bigger picture behind each line of code. Over time, I realized it wasn’t just the applications themselves that fascinated me, but the data they generated and the insights hidden within that data. That curiosity led me to earn a Master’s in Information Systems Technology at The George Washington University. There, I expanded from writing code to extracting, cleaning, and analyzing data using Python, SQL, and PySpark. Each dataset felt like a challenging puzzle, and tools like Tableau and Power BI helped me bring those solutions to life—turning raw numbers into insights anyone could understand. At Bestpack, where I currently work, I apply these skills every day. I’ve built dashboards to highlight sales trends, boost production efficiency, and improve customer service. I’ve also automated workflows by integrating Zendesk with Power Automate and APIs, making our operations smoother and more reliable. Before that, at Trivia Software, I used CRM data to identify patterns that shaped stronger sales strategies. Throughout these experiences, I’ve learned that communicating findings is just as important as uncovering them. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I guided students through complex topics, and as a researcher, I bridged gaps between technical teams and business stakeholders—ensuring that everyone saw the value in the data. Now, I’m eager to bring my blend of technical curiosity, deep analytical thinking, and clear storytelling to a new data analyst role.
