About Kore Liow

Liow is an innovator, entrepreneur, CEO, founder and Neuroscience Chair of Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience, & Clinical Professor of Medicine (Neurology), Graduate Faculty in Clinical & Translational Research at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii. His team of 60+ employees including over 10 faculty members are actively engaged in over 30+ active trials in Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, MS, Epilepsy, Migraine, Neuromuscular, Pain, Sleep, Neuropsychiatric conditions and others. Liow trained as a research neurologist at NINDS, NIH and continue to serve NIH on its Review Study Section and Scientific Merit Review. He is a clinician scientist, board certified neurologist who spends majority of his time in neuroscience research where he has served as principal investigator (PI) for over 200 phase I-IV trials sponsored by the NIH, CDC and the industries. He is a nationally sought-after key opinion leader and published over 100 peer reviewed PubMed publications and served on committees and advisory panel for NIH, CDC, AAN etc. His research experience included writing and submitting protocols to secure FDA IND applications and worked with sponsors on trial conception, design, development. As PI, his performance matrix scores at 90% of patients randomized and 95% patients completing studies. His research site has a national reputation as a top-performing site and rapid site start up. His faculty currently mentors over 20 medical students at the University of Hawaii John Burns School of Medicine where Dr. Liow oversees MD5 MED 599 Neuroscience Research Elective BRAIN (Bridging Research and Innovation in Neuroscience) Scholar program. Liow's NeuroAI Research Lab/Alzheimer's Neural Network EEG (ANNE) Lab is investigating the use of AI in Neural Engineering in measuring electrical activities in the brain cortical regions using EEG (Electroencephalogram). He is self declared pragmatist and sees problems as opportunities and a firm believer in "problems don't have to be problems unless you allow them to be.
