Geologist with 4+ years of post-doc experience in the unconventional resources in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin seeking a career opportunity within the field of Petroleum Geology. I have a very diverse background in Sedimentology, Stratigraphy, Ichnology, Forward Stratigraphic Modelling, integrated with Geochemistry, Marine Geology and GIS applications. I am a strong independent worker with experience contributing constructively in a team environment. I continually improve my professional skill set to deliver high quality products. Sedimentology and Stratigraphy: • 4+ years of unconventional reservoir sedimentology experience: Examined more than 1 km of shale cores using multidisciplinary approach by integrating facies analysis, major-minor elements, and ichnology. • Expert in sequence stratigraphic applications in conventional and unconventional reservoirs. • 5+ years of experience in sedimentology of modern and ancient shallow water siliciclastic settings, particularly in deltaic and fluvial settings. Computer Applications • Expert in GIS applications: Digitizing maps, analyzing complex data sets, and generating 3D models. • Expert in using Petrel for subsurface correlation, mapping, and creating 3D models of reservoir units. • 3+ years of Forward Stratigraphic Modelling experience using Dionisos: Successfully created a model for the Horn River Shales. • Strong computer skills (e.g, Petrel, ArcGIS, Dionisos, Accumap, and GeoScout) and ability to learn new geo-software independently. Marine Geology • Experience in Marine Geology applications: Collected and examined piston cores, vibracores, and grab samples. • Expert in examining physicochemical ocean properties including ADCP, turbidity and dissolved oxygen content in marine settings. • Actively participated to several research expeditions with the Geological Survey of Canada, Pacific. • Experience in seafloor imaging, processing multibeam images and seismic data, and using ROV resources.
