About Kostas Athanasopoulos

I am a graduate of the Department of International and European Studies who transitioned to Information Technology after applying to the Joint Postgraduate Msc "Informatics & Management". During the course of this journey, I independently participated with great enthusiasm in innovation contests and digital transformation projects for Health and Fintech sectors. In 2017, I continued my studies as a Ph.D. candidate in Informatics. My main focus was Requirements Engineering for software and information systems. In parallel, I led and consulted teams with Horizon 2020 and NSRF funded projects, implemented business process reengineering for the private and public sector and worked as independent consultant. In December 2019, I was invited along with 119 professionals from various fields of expertise in the first workshop of the digital transformation of the entire Greek Public Sector, entitled "DigiGov Sessions". Through service design and design thinking techniques we proposed plans that would hack the bureaucracy through the implementation of the platform "gov.gr" and its eGovernment supporting modules. With over 6 years of experience in digital transformation, innovation, continuous improvement of business processes and project management, I strive to expand my work aspirations combined with my ethos and integrity.
