About Kris Blount

Kris Blount is a dynamic leader with extensive experience across many levels of care within Substance Abuse and Mental Health. She is a Licensed Senior Psychological Examiner and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor II, Qualified Clinical Supervisor. She has demonstrated broad competencies in managing and leading both clinical and operational processes across large geographical areas. One of Kris’s prominent strengths is building and maintaining effective and efficient teams. She has developed and supported teams of varying types and sizes across the United States and has accomplished achieving mutually agreed upon goals. Kris uses a very natural, transparent, coaching style and has managed through critical incidents and challenging situations with calm and integrity. Multidisciplinary teams have achieved high outcomes because of her guidance and leadership. She has worked closely with teams to define and enhance clinical and operational workflows and SOPs. Kris has supervised teams for clinical practices and to obtain licensure. Kris’s employment has afforded her a broad opportunities and experiences with Quality, Compliance, Billing, Denials/Appeals, budget management, etc. She has successfully managed oversight standards, rules and regulations related to licensure boards, payers, regulators and accreditation agencies. To do so, Kris has collaborated with cross-functional teams to optimize work processes in proactive, focused ways. She is strengths based, efficient, organized and has consistently managed within a fast-paced work environment with grace and fluidity. Kris has a passion for engaging with systems that support vulnerable individuals, with a strong focus on MAT and co-occurring mental health. She is focused on key performance indicators and outcomes and uses these to forward practices and care delivery. Kris is also privileged to work with her local public safety and enforcement agencies to evaluate and support candidates for hire within their agencies. She has also supported police officers involved in critical incidents and other activities of police psychology.
