About Kris Henry

With over 20 years of experience as a seasoned engineering professional, I have a proven track record of success in optimizing physical asset management, establishing maintenance and capital project management systems, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver results. I began my career by developing, building, and programming critical and distributed condition monitoring systems. My proficiency in multiple programmable logic controls, SQL server, and other programming languages, combined with my education in Electronics Engineering, has given me a deep perspective of critical systems. This experience has also provided me with an understanding of how to design and implement reliable and useful systems that incorporate customer feedback, in line with my belief in the Disruptive Design methodology. I served as the first reliability engineer for critical manufacturing equipment at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, where I implemented maintenance strategies that significantly reduced downtime and improved equipment performance. I have received several asset management certifications, including Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, ISO (and PAS certification, and more. As I progressed in my career, I managed and grew the Facilities Engineering team with a portfolio as large as ~$400M in Cap Ex, executing projects such as Lockheed Martin's Factory of the Future and Compact Fusion Facility on schedule and under budget. In this role, I focused on capital planning, estimating, project execution, and commissioning phases. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a strong ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, establish project management systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. As the leader of the Critical Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Team serving the Advanced Development Programs, I established numerous project management and maintenance systems that ensured compliance with regulatory requirements, maximized uptime, and improved overall team performance. I focused on sustainment and decommissioning phases and eventually moved into the Reliability Lead role to better integrate the two worlds. At this phase of my career, I am eager to share the knowledge and experience I have built in my numerous roles. I am passionate about leveraging my expertise to drive operational excellence and deliver measurable results.
