Background
About Kris Inman
With over 30 years in 911 public safety at all levels, I bring a unique blend of frontline experience, leadership expertise, and instructional talent to every classroom, stage, and consulting engagement. I’m passionate about helping organizations and individuals grow—through better leadership, stronger communication, and healthier workplace culture. I currently serve as Director of Program Development at The Healthy Dispatcher, designing and delivering high-impact training and development programs for 911 professionals nationwide. My work centers on leadership development, employee engagement, and culture transformation—helping public safety agencies build high-performing teams from the inside out. In 2025, I was named Program Coordinator for Drury University’s Public Safety Leadership Programs, where I oversee undergraduate and graduate pathways for public safety professionals. This role allows me to help shape the next generation of public safety leaders—all through a prestigious university known for excellence in leadership education. In higher education, I’ve also served as an adjunct instructor at Missouri State University and Drury University, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in public speaking, communication, public safety leadership, first-year foundations, and professional development. In 2021, I was honored with a university-wide teaching award at Missouri State in recognition of my approach to student learning outcomes. My background spans the full spectrum of emergency communications—from call taker to agency director. I retired in 2023 after a 28-year career at Springfield-Greene County 911, where I was the agency’s first internally promoted director and longtime Training & Education Manager. I’m also a nationally recognized speaker, conference presenter, and consultant, known for blending real talk, irreverent humor, and heartfelt honesty with actionable insights that inspire change.
