About Kris Kowalski

With nearly 40 years of experience in healthcare leadership and management, Kristine is a Palliative Care Administrator at Providence Health & Services, where she oversees the delivery of compassionate and quality care for seriously ill patients and their families. She holds an MBA from Minnesota State University, an MS in Military and Strategic Leadership from Air University, and a BS in Nursing from DePaul University.Kristine is passionate about improving the access and outcomes of palliative care services, drawing from her extensive background as a combat flight nurse, a hospice director, and an emergency/trauma nurse. She has served as a board member and president of the California Hospice and Palliative Care Association, and has been recognized by the National Association of Professional Women for her excellence and achievements. She has also contributed to the development of federal and state hospice and palliative care regulations, and is currently working on creating new palliative care regulations. Kristine's goal is to empower patients and their families by providing comfort and communication, while maximizing resource opportunities and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
