About Kris Miles

Across my career one theme has remained constant, information shapes power. I’ve learned that information can protect or exploit, clarify or confuse, unite or divide. In defence, it safeguarded lives. In consulting, it identifies challenges and creates opportunities. In law, it defines rights and reputations. In society as a whole, it underpins the trust we place in each other and our institutions. What I carry from these experiences isn’t a list of postings or projects, but lessons- The importance of strategy in a noisy, uncertain world- The need for ethical leadership grounded in responsibility especially as technology races ahead of regulation- The value of civil discourse; the ability to disagree without hostility- The role of education in building resilience against misinformation and identifying disinformation. Now, as I complete my law degree, I’m focused on the intersection of law, technology, and truth. My goal is to use my background not just to interpret rules, but to strengthen the foundations of trust, justice, and informed dialogue. I write and reflect often on these themes and I’m always open to conversations that bridge disciplines and perspectives.
