About Kris Verbeeck

During the 30 years of experience I have in education, i’ve fulfilled different roles: teacher, director, coach, teacher trainer, assessor, tutor, researcher and member of board in education and childcare. All my work consists of connecting ideas on education, development and teaching with people on a national level. I’m good at motivating and inspiring people and in bringing them together. Building bridges and learning communities between childcare and schools together with all the professionals is one of my favorite topics. As a member of board I have a helicopterview and never loose professionals and kids out of sight. There’s always a connection with the ‘why’: doing what’s good for the development and learning process of children. Happy kids and happy adults who can connect with themselves, with others and contribute to society. As a senior educational advisor I offer advice and guidance to parents, pedagogical workers and teachers working with children in the age group between 0-13 years old who are willing to teach/educate in a motivated and child-respective way. For headmasters/ directors who want to innovate and help their teachers to use their talents in education, I’m a good support who knows how to deal with these processes. I’m good at building attractive and supportive learning environments. I like to support children and adults to realize their fundamental psychological basic needs (autonomy, relatedness and competence). Specialties: Reading and motivation Autonomy for kids (age 0-13) Innovative education (innovative learning environment, autonomy-respected teaching,) practise based reseach in the field of language, maths, motivation, learning As a projectmanager i manage complex processes like building a strong vision for schools and children centres together with all the professionals from different schools and childcare; I’m good at bringing the vision into practise and guide and support those involved. Building the bridge between primary and secondary education is another field of intrest.
