A passionate and hardworking individual, having just completed my honours degree. Worked on a project based on areas in cancer immunology and nanobiotechnology. Currently working as a Laboratory Assistant, with prior industry experience. Seeking to also gain further biomedical research experience in the upcoming future. Has a deep interest in mathematics and its application across the natural sciences, especially biology. An analytically minded person who is dedicated in achieving goals. A team-player, who enjoys working and learning with others. Has experience in cancer research and is willing to learn more. Enthusiastic about applying scientific skills to translate research into real-world applications. Previous volunteer experience with In2science, having shared my passion for STEM. Previous project experience in analysing biomarkers in cancer cells. Experienced in safely working in Physical Containment Laboratories (PC-1/2). Has confident cell-culture skills, experience dealing with prostate and oral cancer cell lines. Familiar with molecular biology skills such as RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, cell immunostaining and lipid-based DNA transfection. Has experienced conducting RT-PCR, confocal microscopy, fluorescence imaging and DNA transfection assays. Excited about developing my career and exploring new opportunities with industry professionals in the near future. Ambitious on progressing within the biomedical/biotechnology industry, to further develop scientific skills and ultimately contribute to Australian research and innovation- Curiosity is the driver of science
