Environmental & Water Resources Engineer | Machine Learning & Predictive Modeling | Groundwater & Surface Water Contaminant Transport I am a Ph.D. researcher in Environmental and Water Resource Engineering at North Carolina State University, specializing in integrating machine learning, groundwater modeling, and environmental data analytics to solve complex water contamination challenges. With a strong foundation in hydrology, geospatial modeling, and experimental statistics, I develop predictive models that drive data-driven decision-making for sustainable water management. Research & Expertise: Developing machine learning and mechanistic models to understand and mitigate PFAS contamination in groundwater and surface water. Leading research on contaminant fate and transport, environmental flow changes, and hydrological drought impacts. Creating Bayesian networks, random forest models, and geospatial analytics to assess water quality risks. Key Projects: PFAS Characterization & Predictive Modeling: Built ML-driven models to predict contamination risks and assess remediation strategies. Targeting Lead Exposure Risks with Big Data & AI: Leveraged demographic, geospatial, and water quality data for risk prediction. Hydrological Drought Impacts on River Water Quality: Modeled climate-driven water quality changes and environmental flows. Publications & Presentations: I have presented my work at leading conferences (AWRA, WRRI, BayesiaLab) and contributed to peer-reviewed research in hydrology, environmental modeling, and water resources.
