Background

About Krishna Venkatesh

I’m a data scientist and machine learning engineer passionate about designing and deploying scalable, real-world AI solutions. Currently pursuing my MS in Data Science at Northeastern University, I bring experience across NLP, deep learning, MLOps, and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). At Saint Gobain Research North America, I deployed a high-performance retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) assistant used daily by over 100 researchers, reducing literature lookup times by 96%. I also built an automated MLOps pipeline that cut reporting times by 98%, saving significant analyst hours. Previously at Altimetrik (Western Union), I developed full-stack data pipelines and fraud detection models, improving transaction reliability and streamlining API monitoring across 100+ countries. My portfolio includes award-winning and research-backed projects ranging from financial LLMs to driver drowsiness detection systems, reflecting a drive to build impactful, user-focused AI. Outside of my professional interests, I’m an enthusiastic recreational drone pilot who enjoys exploring aerial photography and remote sensing technologies for fun. I’m always open to collaborating on innovative projects at the intersection of data science, automation, and practical problem-solving — feel free to connect!
