I’m at my best when I get to use my left and right brains equally, analyzing details and thinking from multiple perspectives, then putting them together to create a purposeful big picture outcome. As a classically trained musician, I spent years learning to take in every detail in a piece of music so I can interpret it into a form that’s both technically accurate and deeply moving. Those skills lent themselves well to my work as a copywriter and editor, giving me an eagle eye for correct grammar and formatting, along with an intuitive understanding of how phrasing and word choice impact how a message will come across to a reader. Since my career path advanced from primarily copywriting to specializing in SEO strategy, UX, and web optimization, I've been able to increase my understanding of how people search for and engage with information online, giving further depth to my fascination with seeing others' perspectives.
