About Krista Odonnell

As the Chief Advancement Officer at Humber Polytechnic, I lead a talented team of professionals dedicated to advancing the college's mission and vision through strategic fundraising and alumni engagement. With over 30 years of experience in the non-profit sector, I have a proven history of executing successful campaigns, cultivating major and planned gifts, and developing cohesive teams and resource development programs. My work has also focused on enhancing stewardship, communications and marketing strategies with a focus on fundraising and alumni engagement, as well as managing senior volunteers and board members. I hold a CFRE designation along with a B.A. from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership (MPNL) from Carleton University. My passion lies in helping organizations thrive by connecting them with donors and partners who share their values and vision. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to contribute to the missions of esteemed organizations such as the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation, the University of Toronto, the University Health Network Foundation, and The Royal Conservatory. At Humber, I am committed to fostering a robust philanthropic culture and alumni community at one of Canada’s premier polytechnic institutions. My aim is to support the college's mission while laying a strong foundation that will benefit future generations of students who choose Humber as their alma mater.
