Hey ya'll! Although your girl is a first generation college student from a low income family, she's about to get down to business and succeed in life by knocking down nasty obstacles! And no matter how difficult the challenges are, Jackie Chan did say,"Do not let circumstances control you. You change your circumstances." I'm from a family of Cambodian immigrants who did everything in their power to ensure that I was able to live the American Dream. However, cultural boundaries did come into play throughout my adolescents and adulthood, as I struggled staying within my cultural roots, and understanding my own identity, culturally and mentally. Fortunately, exploring the outside world and networking with others allowed an epiphany of self worth to surface. New challenges rise everyday, and your girl is ready to conquer every possibilities in life by doing the impossible! One of the biggest dreams I strive to achieve is becoming a veterinarian who specializes in domestic, and exotic animals. My veterinary aspirations developed immediately as soon as I got hit by a baby elephant's trunk at the age of 10. It's only been 20 years, and I still have many more years to count!
