About Kristian Gerstner

I am an experienced environmental and social manager, with a focus on climate related risks and sustainable development initiatives. I have a passion for responsible investing and sustainability, and I have worked closely with experts in the development finance space to implement projects which meet stringent ESG criteria to ensure that E&S risks are minimized, whilst opportunities in these spaces are maximized. I have experience working on projects throughout Africa, Europe, North America, and Asia. These works have included GHG assessments, the conducting of ESG due diligence, including climate change risk assessments, the development of environmental and social management systems, and the compilation of annual sustainability and impact reports. I have experience working with the UN PRI, IFC performance standards, TCFD, GHG Protocol, World Bank EHS guidelines, and relevant national laws and standards. I aim to stay on top of my field, and like to conduct research and development on regular basis. My primary research areas are climate change, communication and behavior, and environmental and social impact assessment. I work best in an environment where my opinion and input can be used to make a difference. I am passionate and I strive to improve and do better every day.
