My practice focuses on traditional real estate transactions and real estate development. I have successfully closed millions of dollars in commercial real estate sale and purchase transactions and represented borrowers in closing related commercial loan transactions. I also represent clients on a variety of land use matters locally and throughout the country. I have assisted in a variety of real estate development transactions, including zoning, redevelopment, public financing, economic development and incentives (particularly in Missouri), including Tax Increment Financing, Chapter 353 Incentives and the formation of Transportation Development Districts. I have acted as counsel for both landlords and tenants in retail, office and manufacturing lease transactions throughout the country. My lease experience includes ground leases and sale-leasebacks, as well as drafting, review, and negotiation in traditional commercial lease transactions. I have also represented clients in the renewable energy industry, specifically as lender’s and borrower’s counsel in wind energy financing projects. My work in this area includes review and analysis of wind energy leases, easements and other landowner agreements to ensure necessary entitlements and compliance with applicable laws.My administrative experience includes the founding of a law firm specializing in commercial real estate.
