About Kristin Waller

I’m a well-rounded communications professional with a strong editorial mindset, a robust digital skill set, and more than 15 years of experience in higher education. I value—and strive to create—authentic, inclusive, and on-brand content. I’m also a curious and critical thinker who’s eager to develop and execute data-informed strategies. “Best practices” is my favorite phrase in the workplace (narrowly edging out “free bagels”). I care less about the serial comma, but more about the vocative comma, than you might expect. Nothing lights me up like collaborating with other sharp, motivated marketers and communicators. Specialities include: copywriting and news writing; developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading (Associated Press and Chicago styles); newsletter production and list management; press releases; internal communications; email marketing (including Mailchimp and Salesforce Marketing Cloud); brand awareness and brand management; web development, user experience, and content management systems (primarily Drupal and WordPress); organic social media management; project management; vendor relationship management; and digital photography.
