About Kristina Calder

I’m a PhD-trained health sciences professional with a deep passion for helping people return stronger—whether that’s in the workplace, in sport, or in life. In my current role as a Return to Work Specialist at WSIB, I draw on years of research, biomechanics, and client-focused experience to support individuals navigating complex health, injury, and recovery challenges. With a background in neuromuscular physiology and rehabilitation, I bring both empathy and evidence-based thinking to every case I manage. Outside of my full-time role, I’m the Founder of SHIFT Co, a women’s health coaching company that supports women—particularly in midlife and beyond—through strength training, personalized wellness strategies, and lifestyle education. I’m a certified Women’s Health Coach and Personal Training Specialist, and I’ve built SHIFT on a foundation of science, empowerment, and practical tools that help women build muscle, energy, and confidence. Whether I’m guiding a woman back to movement post-injury, helping her fuel her body for longevity, or supporting someone’s journey back into the workforce, my mission is the same: To help people reconnect with their health and strength so they can show up fully in the life they want to live.
