I am a Partner in the EY State, Local and Indirect Tax Services group located in Tysons, Virginia with over 17 years of experience. I split my time between the Tysons and Richmond offices serving clients in the Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Richmond markets.During my time with EY, I have worked with clients to meet their state and local filing requirements, identify opportunities to generate tax savings, minimize the hours spent on compliance and to minimize the number of returns ultimately filed.I started with EY in 2007 in Cincinnati, Ohio where I focused on state and local tax compliance and advisory services for a number of companies in a wide variety of industries. My family and I moved to Virginia in 2013 where I have continued to serve clients with their state and local advisory, compliance and controversy needs. I am a Certified public Accountant in Virginia and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of CPAs.I have coordinated and managed the state and local compliance process from start-up corporations with one or two filings to multinational fortune 500 companies with over four hundred state and local filings. I have also implemented best practices from a state and local provision process with a number of clients to remedy deficiencies, minimize hours incurred and develop a process to clearly reflect client’s current and deferred state tax provisions.
