About Kristoffer Tagesson

I began my academic journey at Chalmers University of Technology, where I pursued a degree in Physics with a specialization in Automation, Mechatronics, and Controls. Following my studies, I joined Volvo Trucks, initially working as an analyst in vehicle dynamics. I then transitioned to a role as a developer of electronic power steering, followed by a position as a team leader for steering control functions. Subsequently, I undertook an industry-doctoral position focused on developing new active safety functionalities. The primary objective was to enhance the cooperation between vehicle motion control and the driver. Since then, I have held several positions within Volvo, all centered around the area of motion control. Currently, I serve as the Global Technology Manager for Vehicle Motion Management, overseeing functions such as traction, stability, and brake controls. I am particularly passionate about the combination of technical development—which has reached new heights within the automotive industry—and leadership. I reside near Karlstad, where I am fortunate to have a small satellite office, though I frequently travel to Göteborg, where the majority of my team is based. Outside of work, I am an avid woodworker, a dedicated CrossFitter, a lover of nature, and, most importantly, a husband and father.
