About Kristoffer Walker

With about 20 years of experience as a Research Geoscientist, I began my career overlooking the beautiful La Jolla beach in San Diego. My expertise spans Acoustics, Anisotropy, Rock Physics, Seismology, Gravity, and Fiber Optic Sensor Development. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in academia, service companies, and operator companies, contributing to the energy sector and tackling various challenges. My collaborations have resulted in over 35 journal papers, 80 conference papers, and 11 granted patents. At Chevron, I have taken on various leadership and contributor roles, focusing on technology development, data analysis, and developing algorithms and modeling applications. My recent work involves CCS monitoring and reservoir characterization, anisotropy, geomechanics, and seismic stimulation. I am also actively involved in the professional community as a program committee key contact for the annual IMAGE conference and a member of the organizing committee for the annual AAPG/SEG/SPE CCUS Conference.
