About Kristopher Jones

I received an accounting degree from Arkansas State University in May of 2009. That spring, I had also been accepted at the William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock, Arkansas. I accepted a Budget Specialist position, attending law school at night. I maintained an above-average GPA in law school while finding success in finance; being promoted once to Division Chief of Grant Reporting in 2012, and promoted to Assistant Controller in 2013. To further my goal of becoming a well-rounded executive, I took a position at the Arkansas Department of Information Systems after passing the bar exam, where I worked closely with the executive team as an Assistant Controller, gaining an appreciation of Information Technology operations. I expanded my executive experience in operations as Assistant Director of Employment Assistance at the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services. I have developed strong operations, finance, and analytical skills through a broad range of responsibilities, education, and training and continue to take pride in contributing to the Arkansas workforce and helping Arkansans find paths to rewarding careers. I have worked in the private sector as a project manager and process engineer and currently assist the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services with Cost Allocation and I was provided the opportunity to manage a workforce data analytics grant.
