I started working at Walmart at the age of 16, here I learned valuable lessons on customer service and time management which helped build my skillset. I stayed with the company for 16 years moving up through the ranks till I reached Assistant Manager where I was leading a team and managing the store as a whole. This is where my love for leadership came to fruition, helping employees develop skills and empowering them to reach new heights of success. 4 years of being a manager helped me sharpen my skills and develop as a person in a professional environment. I decided to make a change in my life to find a new career, and at this moment I found RBC. I had no banking experience and they didn't hesitate to give me a chance. I have been working at RBC for over a year as a banking advisor and I wouldn't change it for the world. I am at an organization that cares for its employees and helps its employees succeed. In banking customer relationship management is essential and I exemplify this with every client I meet, I ensure that every client feels valued and comfortable in the complicated world of finance. Simplifying banking is so important and coming from another industry I can see this is sorely needed in banking. Making banking easy to understand is what I focus on and it helps me build long lasting relationships with my clients. I am excited to see what the future has in store and am thrilled to learn more from this exciting industry.
