About Kristopher Sutter

I want to make my community a better place. I enjoy speaking to and listening to others. I have a broad range of experiences in the mental health field as both a clinician and an administrator. My goals include striving to improve systems by reducing barriers to care, enhancing coordination of care between various healthcare agencies, and modeling efficiency to drive a client oriented experience through for-profit, non-profit, clinical, volunteer, and activist opportunities and perspectives. I am the owner of Sutter Compass Therapy, LLC, a mental health therapy practice and am beginning to start a non-profit organization in the community of Macon, GA that will serve chronically ill individuals in the improvement of coordination of care activities to enhance management of chronic medical conditions. I am also an active member of the disability community whereby I strive to improve the lives of individuals with invisible illnesses. I volunteer on the Judicial Review Board of Macon-Bibb Municipal Court which provides guidance to children and adults involved in the court system with mental health care opportunities to improve their relationships and to reunify family connections to avoid long term foster care placements. Currently, I am also a volunteer on the Navicent Hospital's Patient Advocacy Council in Macon, GA where I coordinate with the hospital board to make improvements to patient based care services within the health system. Most recently, I have become a contracted content writer for the Invisible Disability Project.
