Background

About Kriti Arora

I am an educator and researcher with international teaching experience in Japan, currently working in higher education with a focus on skills-based learning, critical thinking, and global citizenship education. My work and research interests lie in designing learning experiences that go beyond rote instruction and encourage students to think independently, communicate clearly, and engage thoughtfully with complex ideas, diverse perspectives, and real-world issues. Over the past few years, I have been involved in curriculum and classroom activity design, conference presentations, academic research, and collaborative projects related to language education and learning environments. I have presented at multiple international academic conferences and contributed to research and publication projects, including a nationally funded KAKENHI research project exploring Personal Learning Environments (PLEs). I also serve in an officer role within a regional chapter of JALT, where I support professional and academic initiatives in language education. Beyond the classroom, I am deeply interested in the future of education, holistic student development, and the role of learning in shaping thoughtful, capable, and socially conscious individuals. I am particularly interested in educational reform, learning environments, and how educational systems can better prepare students to navigate an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
