About Krystal Dodd

Working in the mental health space for 15 years; with combined International and Canadian experience. I have worked with clients across a range of age groups; pre-school, elementary and high school, teens and adults; issues and areas of concern being school, relationships, anxiety, low moods, trauma, difficult behaviour, work related stress, in individual and community based settings. I work with a culturally informed lens using interventions and techniques like REBT, SFBT, CBT, DBT, EFFT, Positive Psychology and Mindfulness. I provide online and in person psychotherapy sessions. I engage with my clients using genuine listening and empathy skills and create a safe space for them to be themselves as we work collaboratively towards reaching their goals. I have international teaching experience; teaching Psychology, both at the graduate and post graduate levels; courses like Human Resource, Consumer Behaviour, Organisational Behaviour, Introduction to Psychology, Practicum in Industrial Psychology, Intervention systems in Psychotherapy and Personality Psychology.*Department Coordinator of the M.A. Psychology department. I have experience in career counselling and the use of aptitude testing (DAT) and the 16 P.F. as well as Interest inventories. Fluency in English. I enjoy learning and have strong communication, listening and empathy skills which I believe allow me to connect with my colleagues and clients!
