About Krystal Freeman

I realized my dream to become a nurse at a young age. As a child that was chronically sick, I saw first hand the impact nurses can have on patients and I knew I wanted to be someone that made a difference like that. I started out with an Associates Degree from a local community college and continued to return to school to advance my degree as I grew and realized more of where my passion was. As I grew as a nurse, I discovered my passion for educating and training nurses. This inspired my choice to where to focus my education when I returned to school. I've been a nurse since Summer of 2006 and have an array of experience in Med-Surg, Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, Antepartum, Nursery, Pediatrics and Orthopedics. I have been a bedside nurse, an assistant nurse manager, a clinical nurse educator, a telephone triage nurse, an adjunct faculty member and clinical coordinator. I've been very fortunate to have been able to work with other nurses and be mentored by other nurses. I still completely enjoy nursing and am committed to always be prepared and willing to grow and learn within the healthcare field.
