About Krystal Pyatt

I manage all marketing and communications efforts for the Sanford Center for Aging at the University of Nevada, Reno. As we challenge how people think about aging, I am responsible for sharing the programs available for seniors anywhere in their journey as well as educational and volunteer opportunities for students of the university and community members alike. Everything from media relations to brand management, I look forward to connecting with you to discuss this gem of a department in our city. Supporting The Children's Cabinet from within, I managed a full website redesign and launch that is user-friendly and easier for clients to navigate. In public relations, I shared the stories of the dedicated staff to the community as well as the success stories of former clients. Using many resources at my disposal such as social media, blogging, and events I kept the public connected with the goals and mission of The Children's Cabinet. With The Ferraro Group, I had the opportunity to assist in public relations campaigns and client management as well as political campaigns for candidates and ballot initiatives. Using a combination of strategy, social media management, event planning, writing, and community engagement, I had the privilege to work with many amazing companies and organizations in our community. Before The Ferraro Group, I was the Interactive Marketing Manager and Public Relations Manager for Circus Circus Reno Hotel and Casino. This is where I mastered the art of juggling. In December 2010, I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a bachelor's degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in cultural anthropology. I have experience with non-profits (Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada and the Sparks Heritage Museum), marketing agencies (OCG Creative), and Media Relations Offices (University of Nevada, Reno Media Relations).
